When should I start looking?

9 months to a year is ideal. Book in advance to avoid disappointment and that way we can plan your ultimate experience. Our dresses take 4-6 months to arrive and we always leave time for alterations.

Book your appointment

To visit us please always book your appointment. There is no charge for weekday appointments.

For Saturday, Sundays and evenings is an appointments fee of £20 to be made prior to the appointment. Payments for this can be made over the phone or by BACS. This amount is fully refundable if you find “The One” at Minster Designs. Follow up appointment is free of charge.

We encourage you to bring no more than 3 adult guests with you for your first appointment and its important to bring with you the people that will support you and guide you in a positive way. Let those special people share this experience first hand and create some beautiful memories with you.

Please make sure that if you no longer require the appointment that you let us know 48 hours in advance so we can offer the experience to another bride.

Luxury Appointment

Upon request, we are able to offer luxury appointments for those brides wanting a more luxurious shopping experience. Booking one of our luxury appointments means you will have an extended 2 hour consultation with up to 3 guests. We will provide bubbles and nibbles for you and your guests to enjoy throughout your appointment. At only £35 our luxury appointments make the perfect gift for the newly engaged bride.

Afternoon Tea

We provide you the opportunity to book an afternoon tea at our boutique. We will start your 2 hour appointment with your dress fitting, then you can enjoy and relax in a personal atmosphere your time with your most important people. A charge is £25 pp includes a bottle of prosecco for you to enjoy your special time. Max booking of 4 people.

Preparing for the appointment

We recommend bringing appropriate underwear with you, try to wear nude undies and bring along a strapless bra just in case.

Please hold back from using fake tan and wear minimal make-up for the appointment.

We provide some fitting shoes, if you have your bridal shoes already please bring them along.

Styling Time

Our team are patient and friendly and want to help make your experience with us a memorable and enjoyable occasion.

Booking an appointment means you have 1 or 1.5 hours of one to one attention with a member of our team which allows us to embrace the opportunity to get to know you and your individual style.

Together we will discuss your dress visions, the venue and budget, building an exact picture of what you would like to achieve.

We know our collection, so no worries we will offer you the best dresses of our expertise. We have a wide range of sizes, don’t worry if a dress is a little bit to big, we will make sure to do our best for you.

5.

Expert Fitting

After you Said Yes to Your Dress we take your measurements and order the best dress size for you. Most of the dresses have to be altered to insure a best fit and comfort.

We offer in-house alterations service with our professional team.

Our fittings are always carried out during the week and some evenings 15 – 8 weeks before your big day. You can relay and relax with our expertise.

6.

Best day in your life

We will spend hours and prepare you dress at least one week before your big day.  Drive to our shop and we will bring your dress to your car for a safe journey.

If you are travelling abroad we can offer you a travelling box and a packaging service.

 

7.

After your wedding day

We take all worries away from you. Just drop off your dress, we will dry clean it for you and pack it in a storage box if you wish.

If your dress has been torn, we will repair it for you.
